I Sold My Newsletters

🏄‍♂️ What I Learned This Week...

In partnership with

Howdy!

Every week I share the business projects I’m working on — I’m excited to hang out with you and 5,318 5,386 others.

I’m asked what tools I use in my business. Here’s my tool list, AI tool list, and money-making ideas to help you with your income stream building. Reply to this email and ask me anything - happy to help. A note: I always use referral links when I have them. I will make a commission if you purchase through the links, so thanks!

Well, I’ve allllmmmooosstt sold the newsletters.

The deal is in escrow.

It’s my first deal using Flippa.com to sell and Escrow.com to help settle.

I’ve been wanting to work with both platforms, so this is a good test.

Flippa takes a 10% commisison for connecting the buyer & seller, which is totally reasonable.

Escrow . com has some fees as well, but they’re reasonable.

It will be good to transition these to Cliff (the new buyer) as I wasn’t doing these extra newsletters justice.

Another piece is beehiiv — they make it really easy to transfer a newsletter from one workspace to another (Cliff is also on beehiiv) so it’s actually pretty seamless.

You just reach out and open a ticket with support and they help facilitate the transfer.

If you have questions about these platforms or buying/selling a newsletter, feel free to ask!

Ok, if you missed this last week, I have a crazy automation idea.

I’ve got the automation 80% there — just working out the kinks!

I want to test out a Southern Grandma’s voice to be the voice of my local media brand’s podcast.

Want to hear the voice I created to test?

Ha, feel free to check out the clip below if you want to have a listen.

grandma voice.mp3492.29 KB • MPEG File

It would be somewhat automated.

The flow would go something like this…

  1. Take our news articles from the past week in our “news” category on WordPress (it could also be articles we find on the web).

  2. Summarize them.

  3. Automatically create a script.

  4. Have our presenter (Southern Grandma??) give the summary.

  5. Output Audio File.

  6. Write a Description using Claude.

  7. Upload to Dropbox.

What are your thoughts?

Have you been wanting to start a podcast but have struggled?

Let me know if I can help!

Also, this makes me think of the stupid simple podcast editor I created as well.

Ha, no more excuses to not produce a podcast if it’s something you’d like to do.

I wrote about being in a hackathon.

I didn’t win, but…

I’ve decided to 100% move forward with a SaaS product.

I already purchased the domain name —- Make Analytics Fun Again . com

I’ll make

It’s a Google Analytics dashboard that doesn’t suck.

The version below I created as version 1 for personal use, and we’re working on getting the product live!

Ha, I’m already going pretty hard on using my new daily planner book!

PS - if you snag a copy, send me your receipt and I’ll send you a bonus.

Have you made Amazon KDP products before? I’d love to link up with you!

How I’m Using AI this Week…

My goal is to make 100 useful tools to help automate my life & business.

Tool #18: I built a simple automation to check for me publishing new YouTube videos. When it sees new ones, it creates a post on LinkedIn and X with a link back to the video.

This is a simple automation, but I wasn’t doing it!

So now, with no brainpower from me, it will get done automagically.

Amazon Influencer Program [Update]

I recently got paid $140 to make 4 vids for products for a seller on Amazon.

Sellers have new products all the time and new videos help boost their ratings and give more material to help out a potential buyer.

I have 141 147 videos.

(plus 90 videos from other creators..)

My total earnings equal $4,752.19 $5,211.21

After expenses, I’m making $103.25 $106.05 per hour.

Want to start Amazon Influencer? Here are my best tips I’ve learned at no cost to you. Enjoy!

If you want to learn more about Amazon Influencer, an overview of the program is here, and my first update is here.

(If you want, you can check each weekly update. I’ve come a long way from $2.81 per hour!)

📰 Local Newsletter [Update]

For our local brand, we’re building out a bucket list for the area.

We plan to sell this as an ebook (as well as on Amazon KDP!)

I’ll keep you posted!
