Ok, so a stranger reached out to me in the beehiiv slack group (it’s one of the benefits when you have your newsletter with beehiiv).

He pinged me and asked if I wanted to buy his newsletter.

I was interested, so dug into the data.

Well, about 60 minutes later, I was setting up transfers via PayPal.

I purchased this newsletter with 10,000+ subscribers.

I based my offer on a number of data points — open rate, where the subscribers are located, CTR (click through rate), and revenue it’s generated over the last few months.

Because of beehiiv’s ad program, I estimate that I’ll break even on my investment in 6-9 months!

(is that guaranteed? nope! nothing is in business —- or life for that matter).

My intention is to use beehiiv’s ad program, integrate affiliate programs, and also add links to my content to help grow my brand.

It will be a project that I will start providing updates about in this very newsletter!

What I’m Learning: For a smaller newsletter like this there is only so much data you can ask for (subs, open rates, ad revenue, etc.) before you have to take a leap and take action (I took action 😉).

Remember that stranger I sent my money to?

Well, I used ChatGPT to grab the email lists he sent me (it was actually multiple smaller newsletters) to instantly confirm that there weren’t duplicate emails on the lists.

With so many AI tools coming out that I need to test, I launched this doc to keep up with it all.

Ok, on to some project updates!

Ok, so I put out this new YouTube video.

If you’ve been reading for a while, you know I’ve been buying up domain names over the last 5-6 months (I still need at least 5 more).

In the vid below, I share how I accidentally sold a domain name for $1,200 — was pretty wild!

What I learned in that video was the inspiration for me to acquire 100 domains to hold and flip.

I just purchased WeeklyEmail.com from a friend — I think it’s a great domain.

I might sell it, but can see using it for a potential personal project as well.

I also recently purchased HelloSunsets.com , BuildIncomeStreams.com , and DogMomHumor.com

I will spend a few more hours and hunt for unregistered domains that I think will be great fits.

I’ve now purchased 90 94 domain names (I’m buying at least 6 more if you have names you no longer need or want).

Our page is continuing to grow nicely.

And we just passed 13,000 14,000 15,000 — sweet!

I’m still gaining followers at $.03 each, but I’ve slowed spending on this page to work on organic growth.

I’ve spent just under $350 on this page — if it ever gets approved for the Facebook bonus program, I feel it will quickly have a positive ROI. But I aim to have it profitable from clicks to my site via ads.

Ok, I’ve failed at testing posts to get clicks — I’ve got blog posts in the works to aim at driving traffic to from the page.

I crossed $2,000 in earnings on the program!

This is based on $60k+ of shipped revenue based on my content. It’s really interesting to see these figures.

We’re also getting close to black Friday, so I’m pumping out some content!

I also just hired for more videos from creators (I’ve gotten 40 videos back and uploaded to Creator Central.

This week’s numbers are interesting, because I invested $400 in 40 more videos.

So my hourly rate actually decreased.

But if things go to plan, it will rebound between now and end of the year!

I now have 110 120 videos.

(plus 75 videos from other creators..)

My total earnings equal $2,001.48 $2,274.71

After expenses, I’m making $64.22 $43.40 per hour.
